Instead of casting a silver bullet as a graduation to a hunter, Allison casts silver arrowheads. She realized that it was the silver bullet that almost allowed her father to kill an Oni.

 

Isaac figures out that the silver acts like a poison to the Oni, so the arrowhead allows the silver to stay in their bodies long enough to kill them.
